Maheswar Lal Ranjitkar is the Chairperson of Community Welfare Initiatives. He is responsible for devising the strategy to achieve the vision and most of his time is directed towards fundraising efforts across the country. A native Kathmandu resident, he fell in love with non-profits back when he was a biology student at the Tribhuvan University. He is devoted to uplifting the people of rural communities across Nepal.

Zubin Niroula Khatri

Zubin Niroula Khatri

Co-Founder, Managing Director

Zubin is the Managing Director of Community Welfare Initiatives. He directs for the operation, management and is responsible for the smooth functioning of CWI as an organization. Zubin is a law graduate from Tribhuvan University and has significant experience in non-profits all due to his interest for social welfare.

I am driven by the concept of ‘giving back to community’ and CWI for me is a tool to satisfy my heart by helping needy people and the community at large”.

Prabha Tripathi

Prabha Tripathi

Co-Founder, Director

Prabha is the Director of Community Welfare Initiatives. She holds a B.A.LL.B. degree from Tribhuvan University and is a licensed advocate of Nepal Bar Council. With her professional engagement with non-governmental organizations including profit not distributing companies as a legal advisor, she possesses dynamic leadership capabilities in the non-profit sectors. She has also served in the Reproductive Health and Rights sector through Center for Reproductive Rights, Nepal, an international non-governmental organization.

Kamala Sitaula

Kamala Sitaula

Co-Founder, Director

Kamala is the Director of Community Welfare Initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Rural Development from Tribhuvan University. She holds an extensive experience in the non-profit sectors working in women empowerment and skill development. She has served in the past from various organizations including Chobhar Women Development Group and Helambu Community Development Organization under various designations including Chairperson.

 

Pariskrit Paudel

Pariskrit Paudel

Chief Project Coordinator

Pariskrit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Tribhuvan University. His primary responsibility is to co-ordinate and manage different projects of CWI for implementation. He has a solid experience working with the communities. He’s worked with INGO’s and non-profits including Oxfam International, Nepal in the past.

 

Laxmi B. K. (Sunar) - Member

Laxmi is associated with CWI since its inception and has been working as the local coordinator of CWI for Sindhupalchowk district. She is also associated with the local government in Helambu Rural Municipality and facilitates different CWI projects in Helambu region.

Sagar Tiwari - Member

Sagar is the member of CWI since June 2019. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Pokhara University and currently serves CWI as the point of contact for Gandaki Province. He is also responsible to work as the local coordinator for the Projects of CWI in Gandaki Province.

Prativa Tripathi - Member

Prativa is associated with the non-profit organizations and welfare-oriented activities since 2015 and is serving in the Public Heath & Hygiene sectors through awareness campaigns and trainings. She has an extensive experience in the said sector and has served most of the underprivileged regions of Nepal.
